Frozen Wonderland Content Shoot

Bringing the frozen wonderland theme to life with artisans, locals and amazing landscapes.

As we transition our focus to activating each of the themes, we worked with MODERNSPEAK and Roam Creative to capture the Frozen Wonderland theme as we tested ideas for a winter 2023 event.

We used a general itinerary that was flexible enough to allow the photographers to capture what caught their attention while also making sure that we got the shots needed to promote the upcoming Frozen Wonderland Festival. This created some great results, capturing a deeper look into the people that make the region special than what we can usually do in a more traditional commercial shoot.

Camping along the North Saskatchewan River

The Frozen Wonderland Festival is planned for January 2023, bringing together photography, arts and the natural beauty of the region. The preliminary plan is available here.

This was made possible thanks to the support of Travel Alberta’s Coop Funding program and our partners volunteering their time.

This shoot included Nordegg Adventures, Goldeye Centre, Kerry Wood Nature Centre, Beehive Artisans Market, Expanse Cottages, ROADHOUSEarts and Rendered Earth Studio.

The Finished Product

You can access the gallery (additional photos will be available shortly) from this project on photos.explorenordegg.ca. The photos are available for our partners, including the travel trade and media, to use when promoting the region.
