Crafting Goosebumps Moments
Our goal, across everything we do as an adventure tourism company, is to inspire our guests to play outside and help them experience their adventure so that they can discover the culture, people and natural beauty of the region.
We do this in a few different ways, from guided tours to delicious food, but across all of these it comes down to one thing: crafting goosebumps moments to take our guests out of their ordinary world, making them feel present and in awe.
This course is designed to introduce you to our culture and to help define how we operate. It is part of our onboarding process and it is intended to be used as a reference to help you make decisions that are aligned with our brands. It may feel overwhelming the first time you go through it as we introduce many of the concepts that guide us in a way that is likely to be different from what you’ve experienced before. That’s normal. This is meant to cover a lot of ground quickly, giving you a broad overview of how we operate. Having this information in the back of your head will make things much easier as you work with your team and learn how it applies to your specific role.
The course is broken down into three sections. We start by defining what we mean by adventure tourism and how it shapes the types of experiences we offer our guests. We then take a high-level look at our culture and brands before discussing some of the ways we work together to bring our culture and brands to life.
Our culture and brand guidelines are living documents. We’ll be expanding on these over the next year as we refine our operations and develop our staff training programs. Use them as a starting point to help you make decisions and suggest updates as we work through projects.
This course is designed for new and current staff of Nordegg Adventures, the Nordegg Canteen and Explore Nordegg & Abraham Lake.
