Community Days: Dark Skies Ice Walk
Community Days: Dark Skies Ice Walk
Join Alice Koning, an astronomer with the Kerry Wood Nature Centre, for an evening of stargazing on Abraham Lake.
Alice received her MSc in Physics & Astronomy under the supervision of Dr. Erik Rosolowsky at the University of Alberta. While completing her BSc at the University of Victoria, Alice had the opportunity to work at both the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics (just outside of Victoria, BC) and the Gemini South Observatory (in Chile). Now living a double life as both the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Waskasoo Environmental Education Society and the Astronomy Instructor at Red Deer Polytechnic, Alice is passionate about making scientific knowledge accessible to all.
