Featured Experiences

1. Brazeau Collieries National Historic Site

A walking tour of the historic mine site where you'll learn about the life of the early miners, how Nordegg was a different kind of town and the important role it played in the development of the area.

2. Miners' Cafe & Coliseum Gift Shop

We couldn't go to Nordegg without tasting some of the pies that have made the Miners' Cafe famous. After tasting their delicious baked goods you'll get to learn about their gift shop which sells only Alberta made products.

3. Crescent Falls

Find out how to get those Instagram famous shots of Crescent Falls. We'll head out on a short hike (about 1.5 km return) to the viewpoint overlooking the falls. For those feeling more adventurous, there will be an option to make our way down between the falls afterward.

4. Abraham Lake

Abraham Lake, with it's turquoise water framed by stunning mountains like Mount Michener, Sentinel Mountain and Mount Stelfox is our next stop.

There's no shortage of photo spots along Alberta's largest reservoir. We'll be visiting places like Allstones Cove, Windy Point and Preacher's Point along the way.

5. McKenzie's Trails West

The team at McKenzie's Trails West will be waiting for us and if you're interested you get to go on a 30 minutes horseback ride in the Rocky Mountains! The short tour is a great introduction to their longer rides and a great way to start exploring the Cline River area. Please note that you must be reasonably active and weight under 260 pounds to join this activity.

A Few More Things To Know

We get to play outside on our tours and that means you’ll want to come prepared for the weather. Make sure to dress in layers and come prepared for the unpredictable weather we often get in Alberta. We rarely cancel tours due to weather, as long as we can have a safe adventure. You’ll be amazed at how warm we get snowshoeing at -20C or how much fun hiking in the rain can be!
