Celebrate Tourism Week in Canada with a bike tour of Waskasoo Park!

We'll start with an easy ride through Waskasoo Park, stopping by Mitchell Pond before making our way along the Red Deer River to Bower Ponds to visit the Cronquist House. From there we're off to the Kerry Wood Nature Centre for a picnic lunch in the park. On the way back you'll get to explore more of the trail system and Capstone at Riverlands.

We've slowed down the pace for this year's tours so that you get to enjoy the experience at each of the activity providers we will be visiting.

After this tour you'll have a better idea of how Waskasoo Park and its trail system can connect nature, urban and food adventures into a great option for your guests.

This tour is offered in partnership with Tourism Red Deer and many of the region's best experience providers.

Highlights

  • Get first hand experience with some of Red Deer's best tours and activities.
  • Find new things to do that you can recommend to your guests.
  • Meet industry partners and find opportunities to collaborate.
  • Get inspired to promote our destination.

Perfect for: Anyone interested in our local tourism industry. You need to be comfortable doing an easy 15 km bike ride on paved trails.

We prefer if you bring your own bike for this tour. A limited number of bikes are available, let us know in your booking if you require one.

We rarely cancel tours due to weather, as long as we can have a safe adventure. You’ll be amazed at how warm we get snowshoeing at -20C or how much fun hiking in the rain can be!
